PCM’s first meeting of the Classic Chapter happened on 24th Sept 2022. This took us on an idyllic drive to Kahaani Resort, Janda Baik. Classics that presented themselves were a 356C, a stonking 5.4 liter 928 GTS, and various 911s. Some modern classics made up the numbers with 22 cars in all. We were surprised to have been overwhelmed by the response and had to limit participation due to space constraints.
We were treated to a beautiful, peaceful, riverside picnic. It is probably the first picnic we had for we don't remember when. Later on, we toured Ahmad Fizal's farm and residence next door. Beautifully manicured lawns, the houses were built with stone and timber sourced at the site--it's a wonderful Shangri La in the jungle. We must thank the generosity of Fizal, also a classic Porsche owner, for treating us to a picnic and fruits from his farm. Thanks too to Dato YY Tho for taking charge of and inaugurating this first Classic.
