MALACCA: A businessman from Taman Merbok in Ayer Keroh here is willing to fork out a substantial amount as reward for those who manage to locate and return his missing Porsche 928 GTS.

Tan Cheong Ming, 43, said the car was stolen from his house last Thursday.

“The car is very precious to me and I really want it back. I am willing to give away a generous ang pow to those who can provide tip-offs until the car is back in my possession,” he said.

Tan said his black Porsche was a sports-GT car, manufactured by Porsche AG of Germany from 1978 to 1995.

“My model was manufactured in 1995 and I bought it second-hand two years ago,” he said.

Tan added that his car was stolen from his home when he and his family members were away.

He said thieves broke into his home and drove off with the car between 12.30pm to 1.30pm.

“At that time, my maid was home but she said she did not notice anything amiss,” he said, adding that he believed the thieves had monitored his movements for some time before carrying out the crime.
